Breaking: Jonathan, wife lose out as Akpabio emerges Senate Minority Leader

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s men seem bent on setting aside their loyalty for him and his controversial wife, Patience, as they continue to ditch his legacies by the day.

Recent one is today’s emergence of former Governor of Akwa Ibom State as Senate Minority Leader to day. Akpabio was nominated by the South-South caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Senate. Senator Emmanuel Bwacha (Taraba South) as also selected Deputy Minority leader and Senator Philip Aduda (FCT) as Minority Whip.

There has widespread insinuations that the duo of Akpabio and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike have been stridently working against the nomination of Senator George Sekibo, an Ijaw from Okrika, said to be the choice of Jonathan and his wife, as Minority Leader.

Today’s emergence of Akpabio put paid to that speculation. Obviously, Jonathan and his wife are out of the equation for the time being.
